I'd like to get my concealed carry license, and Valentina had never fired a gun at all, so we headed out to the firing range at Target Masters with our friend George. :)
Firing a 9mm glock that I rented.
Me, looking really happy about blowing some stuff to pieces. :)
Valentina firing George's 45 Glock. She was really funny. We didn't think we were going to get her to fire it at ALL. She heard the noise, and was like NOOOO.... lol
I talked her into just doing it once though, and then she saw it wasn't so scary.
(It was FUN! I decided that a Native Texan really should know how to handle a firearm, and I hate being a weenie! I couldn't believe how noisy that place was......................Val)
George, making us both look bad. ;) (George is the COOLEST person I know!........Val)
No idea what he was telling me here.. probably to point it AWAY from HIM. lol
Valentina, still a little scared of the gun.. see the cringe? ;)
George's 45 shot every other shell backwards into your forehead, and she got the shell to the forehead every time. lol (How come in the movies you never see those shells bopping the Hero in the face??? It's very hard to look cool with that happening...................Val)
VERY nice man in the stall next to us let me play with his really LARGE shotgun. lol
He's showing me how to hold it.
Me shooting it. The barrel was so long I could barely get my fingers in the strap. It kicks backwards not up. I want one! A shorter one. LOL
Shotgun blown to hell. lol
George telling me to lean forward.
He made me shoot it one handed with my right hand. I'm left handed so it was pretty shaky. I could barely aim it.
The obligatory redneck stuffed possum.
Stay tuned for next week kids, when we do it again! wooo!
Let's Go Shoot Something!

Go for a 'youth' sized shotgun or rifle. They're shorter - for my stubby little arms. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like y'all had fun. You guys need to come out and we'll set up a target behind the dam and plink at salvaged campaign signs. The kind with little metal legs they plant in yards make great targets!
